The FIRE Foundation of Greater Chicago

Providing children with special needs the opportunity for Catholic education.

Igniting Inclusive Religious Education

FIRE Chicago makes grants to partner schools, providing partial funding for special education resources and staffing. Students with special needs achieve their individual academic objectives while learning alongside their peers.

Partner Schools

We have grown together to help create schools that are inclusive for all children. All our partner schools emphasize the cultivation of a Catholic environment in their community. The schools’ faculty are all dedicated to creating a curriculum that is both spiritual and intellectually challenging.

St. James School

Saint James School is dedicated to partnering with parents in modeling Christ for our children. They strive to provide a foundation from which students recognize and develop their personal relationship with God.

Educating children in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago since 1888, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy offers top-tier academics in a nurturing Catholic environment. The curriculum and student life at OLMCA emphasize the holistic development and growth of each student.

St. Juliana

Saint Juliana School has faithfully served Catholic families in the Edison Park, Niles and Park Ridge communities since 1928. Excellent academic achievement, spiritual development, and service to others characterize Saint Juliana School students.

St. John the Evangelist

At St. John the Evangelist they are blessed to have the most dedicated, faith-filled faculty and the most spiritually and intellectually challenging curriculum for your children. In addition to high academic standards, they also strive to teach your children the importance of play, prayer, and serving others by participating in extracurricular activities, school masses and prayer services, and school service projects.

Your help goes a long way!
